About Doctor David

Dr. David A. LipschitzDavid A. Lipschitz, MD, Ph.D is among the most renowned geriatricians in the world - and he has a plan for the future. Using decades of clinical experience and scientific research, Dr. David has developed a strong, personal philosophy for lifelong health. This simple and down-to-earth approach relies on two key principles: health and happiness.

Chair of the Donald W. Reynolds Department of Geriatrics and Director of the Institute on Aging at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Dr. David is nationally recognized as a leader in the field of geriatrics. Dr. David has served as both Chair of the Research Committee of the American Geriatrics Society and Chair of the Association of Directors of Geriatric Academic Programs. He is consistently named one of the "Best Doctors in America," and he has been featured on numerous media outlets, including the Today Show, CBS Sunday Morning, and The Dallas Morning News discussing aspects senior health.

Dr. David's greatest goal is to educate the public about aging. Most importantly, he aims to empower people with the tools to live longer, happier, and healthier lives.

Dr. David has an avid devotion to public education. He gives numerous national and international lectures every year on all aspects of the aging process. In collaboration with Arkansas Education Television Network (AETN), he has completed a 26 part TV series entitled Aging Successfully with Dr. David, which aired in virtually every PBS market nationwide. In October 2002, Dr. David wrote "Breaking the Rules of Aging," his first book aimed at educating and empowering the general public.

Dr. David’s positive message can be found weekly in his syndicated column entitled “Lifelong Health with Dr. David.”  First appearing in the Arkansas Democrat Gazette, “Lifelong Health” can be found in markets nationwide.

In 2005, Dr. David launched the “Dr. David Health” magazine, which is a monthly publication discussing the comprehensive issue of lifelong health.
